Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) covers the Bega Valley Shire from Dignams Creek to the Victorian border. SHLV provides outreach support and advocacy for women who wish to stay in the home of their choice following domestic and family violence.

Support includes a thorough assessment of risk, safety and support needs including security measures and assistance at court, combined with appropriate and coordinated referral for both women and children, with an option for long term case management. Participation is voluntary.

SHLV Bega was one of two pilot programs funded by Community Services in NSW and was the first to become operational in the state. It is now one of 24 other SHLV programs in NSW.

Safety planning booklets are available via the SHLV website as a pdf or you can download the order form for hard copies.

The safety planning app “Safe Around Me’ is available free from your app store.

SHLV Bega operates Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm
